Next Generation Programme: Our coaching programme brings together the rising stars from councils to collaborate on real-world challenges they encounter in their roles. It’s an invaluable opportunity for professional growth, while also fostering innovative solutions that can benefit your council.

We strongly encourage nominations of individuals from Black and minority ethnic backgrounds, disabled people, and other under-represented groups to ensure diverse perspectives and inclusive leadership.

The core element of this programme is a series of sessions with a mentor, normally a senior director in a local authority.  In each session, a group member will present a real-time challenge they are facing, there will be group discussion with a sharing of experiences and different strategies to put into action, all  facilitated by your group mentor.

There will also be bonus sessions and resources across the course of the year.  Bonus sessions include insights into how local authority leaders forged their careers.

Finally there will be the opportunity to join a smaller buddy cohort and connect between sessions with a LinkedIn group.
