Making the case for preventative services can be difficult, so it is vital that interventions can evidence their efficacy. Bridges Outcomes Partnerships have been working as part of the changing systems in children’s services in Norfolk and Suffolk where, across both counties, they have now saved 1000 years worth of care days for children and young people.
We’ll hear from Graham Beamish, Head of Programmes, Children & Young People’s services, at Suffolk County Council and the Bridges Outcomes Partnerships team involved in this Stronger Families programme. Informing us about how the use of an outcomes partnership has enabled the local authorities to deliver evidence-based family therapy and support more children to stay at home. The focus on outcomes has enabled a more collaborative and flexible approach, ensuring the local authorities are able to effectively deliver preventative interventions.
We will focus on practical delivery and provide you with vital takeaways for your work, including answers to the questions:
- How do you go about building a service that is outcomes focused and relational?
- How you can evidence the value for money of this type of work?
- What are the wider impacts of relational working?
