Embracing a ‘doing with’ rather than a ‘doing to’ approach to working with communities is the aspiration for many forward thinking councils. Achieving this work is complex and needs all the key organisations in a place to come together. Bringing partnership leads together to listen, learn and shape resources can make a big difference in how assets are best used and communities best served.

At this How We Did It we’ll hear from Kirsty Wilkinson, Public Health Strategic Manager, Durham County Council about their work on County Durham Together Partnership, a non-statutory group which brings together representatives from a range of public and voluntary sector organisations from across County Durham.
