Working groups
The second part of the day will feature small working groups focussed on the topics below.
A good place to call home
Imagine a neighbourhood where everyone has a decent, secure place to call home – a home which supports their health and wellbeing – and where the community and the local system work together to prevent housing problems becoming crises. What would we design differently?
A good start in work and life
Imagine a neighbourhood where every young person has the physical and mental health, relationships, opportunities and support they need to build a good future and where the whole system spots and responds to barriers before they become crises. What would we design differently?
Ageing well
Imagine a neighbourhood where growing older means being connected, purposeful and able to live well for everyone. Where formal health and care services are one part of a much wider web of relationships and support. What would we design differently?
Growing community power
Imagine a neighbourhood where people and communities have a real say in the decisions that shape their lives, not just being asked what they think, but having the power, relationships and resources to act. Where the social infrastructure of the neighbourhood, its community organisations, networks, spaces and civic life, is recognised as part of how people live well and how public services work. What would we have to design differently to make that real?
Growing relational practice
Imagine a neighbourhood where every public service interaction starts with a person. Where the relationships of support that they hold outside of formal systems are valued and nourished, where people are known, listened to and supported in the context of their lives. What would we have to design differently to make that the norm?
