Spotlight Workshop: The Future of Relational Practice and Holistic Commissioning

How can local systems move beyond fragmented commissioning to deliver better outcomes for people and communities? Join New Local network colleagues alongside Bridges Outcomes Partnerships for a strategic workshop exploring how holistic commissioning approaches and place-based partnerships can reshape the way local authorities commission services, embed relational practice and invest in communities.

Together, we will explore how place-based budgeting and collaboration with existing and emerging Mayoral Strategic Authorities can support a shift towards prevention, shared accountability, and outcomes-focused commissioning. We will consider the practical leadership, governance and commissioning changes needed to enable this transformation and create the conditions for long-term impact. The session will feature insights and learning from places already embedding these approaches, alongside facilitated discussion on the opportunities and challenges of implementing them in different local contexts.
