Join us for an inspiring, interactive session in partnership with Go Vocal, where we will focus on the role of councils in understanding and helping to build shared outcomes and vision for their communities.  We will delve into how deliberative methods can be used to enable this and where this has developed successful partnerships and collaboration within place. 

We’ll look at how deliberation can help communities articulate a shared story of who they are and where they want to go, building stronger cohesion along the way. By creating the space for people to listen, understand and create together, councils can form deeper partnerships and more confident, collaborative places.

There will be time together in small facilitated breakout groups, where you’ll have the chance to connect, exchange ideas, and identify practical solutions. You will discuss ways that this could be developed further within your council and what approaches might best fit for your place.

With colleagues from across the UK you will develop: 

• An understanding of managing different views within communities in a place
• Practical takeaways from colleagues on how they approach this work
• Key considerations you need to bear in mind when implementing different approaches
