Innovation Exchange: Place based systems leadership to transform health services with communities
Register now
The complexities of transforming health services are vast with many different priorities and variables to consider. Place-based systems leadership can unlock barriers and open doors within services to help deliver change.
One of the key factors in ensuring all systems involved in health care are working together, from NHS providers to local authorities, is dependent on clear and integrated systems leadership. Moving away from organisational boundaries and focusing on place-led systems change and putting communities at the heart of public service reform, can be transformative for healthcare within communities.
At this Innovation Exchange session we’ll focus on how bringing systems leaders together connects services and improves outcomes for residents. We’ll hear from Nicholas Duffin, Go Vocal on councils focus on place based systems leadership and its impact and from Avjeet Grewal and James Lodge from Essex County Council on their work around health systems through Essex’s Caring Communities Commission.
This session will also provide an opportunity to examine how working in different partnerships across local systems of public services, healthcare providers and voluntary sector organisations can build a shared understanding of local needs and helps to identify how to best use resources to have the greatest impact.
With colleagues from across the UK you will develop:
- Useful takeaways from teams already working in this way
- An understanding of different ways you can influence across all public services involved in health and wellbeing.
- Ideas on how to begin to bring systems leaders together
