With ‘Rewiring the State’ putting participation and local led decision making in sharp focus this session explores learnings from the Waves digital democracy programme, run by democracy think-tank Demos. Click here to learn more about Waves.  

We’ll hear learnings from Camden Council who ran the very first pilot of the Waves model through their project ‘Who Cares?’, which explores what matters most to Camden’s diverse communities when thinking about care and support. The findings from ‘Who Cares?’ will influence the future of adult social care in Camden and feed into national reform. 

We’ll also hear from South Staffordshire District Council who have used the model to involve thousands of local residents in an inclusive engagement process to shape their approach to their next Local Plan.
