Introduction to community power for councillors

All elected councillors from member councils across the country are invited to attend New Local’s virtual welcome and introduction to community power.

Community power is the belief that people should have a say over the places in which they live and the services they use. As a councillor this growing movement can contribute to your ways of working to improve places, public services and lives in your community.

Our short session will explain the background to this approach, clarify how this purpose can shape council activities and highlight the important roles that councillors have in shaping this relationship with their communities.
