In the face of growing demand challenges on our health service, community centred approaches might present a different way forward.

About the project

There are a range of approaches that enable people and communities to participate in decisions over their health and the support they receive. Delivered in partnership with NHS England, this research will identify some core characteristics of these approaches, and present evidence of their impact on health outcomes.

Our aim is to draw out what is different about community centred ways of working so that learning can be shared amongst the health sector and beyond.

We‘re bringing together examples of areas, organisations and services that are taking a more community centred approach and the associated impact on health outcomes.
