Community Power Practice Network : Session 5
New Local is looking for senior officers from across our Network, who are at the cutting edge of Community Power and are working to make it a reality in their area.
The Community Power Practice Network meets five times a year to scrutinise and respond to the challenges of each of its members. Using an Action Learning Set model, members explore these challenges in a new, constructive and creative way.
This intimate and select group is made up of senior local government officers who have committed to share, and help each other overcome the obstacles they face in their common desire of shifting power and resources to their communities. The make-up of this group deliberately transcends boundaries of profession, geography and local government tiers, giving an opportunity to hear fresh perspectives and develop new solutions.
If you have are a senior officer with responsibility for strategic long-term thinking of your council and you have an understanding of, and passion for, shifting power and resources to the community, please get in touch with Francesca at fbesana@newlocal.org.uk
Participation is exclusive and free to New Local members, if your council is not a member but you’re interested in finding out more, please contact Rich Nelmes, Head of Network, at rich@newlocal.org.uk
