Big Local Communities and Health – Research Insights

Big Local is a Lottery funded programme that committed £1m each to 150 neighbourhoods across England. These communities were given 10-15 years to spend the funding, at their own pace and according to their own plans and priorities.

The work that Big Local partnerships have undertaken provides valuable insight into community-led place-based change, including improvements in health and health systems. 

At this workshop we will share insights from the research that looks at how Big Local partnerships have impacted on health in their communities, the opportunities created and the challenges faced during this work.
