Summer joined New Local in August 2022.

She works across our communications and practice teams to tell powerful stories and deliver impactful research.

Previously, Summer led communications at a global health charity that works in partnership with the NHS to strengthen health systems around the world.

She holds an MSc in International Development: Poverty, Conflict and Reconstruction from the University of Manchester.

Their local: Summer grew up in the countryside near Cupar in Northeast Fife, home to the high school attended by the Proclaimers, before moving 500 miles to East London.
