Liin joined New Local in April 2025 as Principal Practice Lead.
Liin has over a decade of experience working in and with governments in Canada and the UK. Specialising in process improvement, strategy, and engagement, she has co-developed strategies and new programmes, many of them in health and always with community.
A strong believer in the power of the collective and perpetual optimist, she strives to empower community voices in meaningful ways that work towards designing solutions for the good of all in society.
Liin is also a published strategic foresight/futures practitioner and is currently a Next Generation Foresight Practitioner Fellow at the School of International Futures.
Their local: Born in Tkaronto (aka Toronto) on Turtle Island (aka Canada), Liin’s family moved around the downtown and West End parts of the city before finally settling in the suburbs where she grew up. These days, she calls her neighbourhood in East London home, taking in all that this area has to offer.
