Joseph Barnsley

Senior Communications Officer

Joseph joined as Senior Communications Officer in February 2021. He is interested in the future of think tank communications and telling great stories with research.

He previously worked at The RSA, LSE IDEAS (The LSE’s foreign policy think tank), and the National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB) and as a Parliamentary Assistant, online journalist for PoliticsHome, and freelance web editor.

Their local: Joseph was born on The Wirral, Merseyside, inheriting a lifelong love of Everton FC. He grew up in the historic ‘plague village’ of Eyam, Derbyshire. After many years in Leeds and London, he now lives in St Albans – giving him a great excuse to prattle on about Roman history. St Albans is otherwise known for having the most pubs per square mile in the UK.
