Imran joined New Local in August 2022 as Senior Researcher.

Imran is an economist passionate about making an impact in communities through insightful data analysis, presentations, seminars, and written research. He has strong quantitative and qualitative research skills, holding an MA in Economics from the University of Manchester.

Prior to joining New Local, Imran was an economist in the research and analysis function at Homes England, and has held previous roles in economic development consultancy.

Their Local: Imran grew up in Bradford, before moving across the Pennines to Greater Manchester in his teens where he has remained ever since. He enjoys strolling around Salford Quays where he lives, exploring and learning about the area’s nautical and industrial history, and its more recent transformative regeneration.
