Charlotte Morgan

Senior Policy Researcher

Charlotte leads New Local’s research on devolution and local economic growth. She joined as a Policy Researcher in April 2018.

She was previously employed by Cornwall Council as a graduate policy officer on the LGA’s ngdp scheme. Her role involved undertaking research to shape Cornwall’s response to Brexit, reporting on the implementation of the 2015 Cornwall Devolution Deal and helping to develop proposals for further devolution from Whitehall to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. She has also worked as a researcher at newsdirect wales, leading on the company’s Westminster political monitoring services and specialising in local government reform, devolved taxes, media and culture.

Charlotte has a MSc in Social Science Research Methods from Cardiff University and a BA in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford.
